
Kansas City Current Loans Goalkeeper Jordan Silkowitz to Australian A-League's Brisbane Roar FC

KANSAS CITY - Kansas City Current goalkeeper Jordan Silkowitz is headed to Queensland, Australia to play for Brisbane Road FC. Silkowitz will head to the A-League side in October and remain on loan through at least April 2024.
"Jordan is a young player with great promise," said general manager Camille Ashton. "With Brisbane she will have a chance to get some valuable playing time and earn some incredible experience before our 2024 season."
Silkowitz was selected by the Current in the second round (18th overall) in the 2023 NWSL Draft. The first player ever drafted out of Iowa State, Silkowitz started her collegiate career as a Big 10 All-Freshman Team goalkeeper at Ohio State University, she transferred to Iowa State in 2020 where she started all 43 games she was available for over the next three years. Silkowitz finished with 324 career saves for the Cyclones, fifth all-time for the school.
The Brisbane Roar are a founding member of Australia's first division A-League. The team has boasted some of the NWSL's top players over the years including Nadine Angerer, Lisa De Vanna and Carson Pickett.
