Kansas City Current Announces 2024 Promotional Schedule at CPKC Stadium

KANSAS CITY - The Kansas City Current announced today the team's promotional schedule for the inaugural 2024 season in CPKC Stadium. This historic season in the world's first stadium purpose-built for a women's professional team, will be highlighted by nine promotional matches, including annual fan favorites such as Pride Night and Fan Appreciation Day, plus a new Teal Out match. The club kicks off the promotional schedule with Community Impact Day, presented by United Way of Greater Kansas City and wraps up the season with its annual Fan Appreciation match.

April 20 vs. Bay FC - Community Impact Day, presented by United Way of Greater KC

Giving back to our Kansas City community and organizations is important to us, so the Current is teaming up with United Way to encourage fans and supporters to engage in local volunteer opportunities as well as Earth Day initiatives to inspire sustainability.

May 12 vs. NC Courage - Mother's Day, presented by Helzberg Diamonds

Fans and players will celebrate the mothers in their lives as the Current hosts the North Carolina Courage. Take Mom to a game, spend the day at the first stadium purpose-built for a women's professional sports team, and come be a part of history that your family will never forget. Moms can pamper themselves with a day downtown and a plethora of Mother's Day celebrations at CPKC Stadium.

June 9 vs. Seattle Reign FC - Teal Out, presented by Palmer Square Capital Management

Newly rebranded Seattle Reign FC won't know what hit them as KC Current fans bring the noise for the first Teal Out in CPKC Stadium. The Current will encourage all fans to wear their teal to Teal Out CPKC Stadium. All fans in attendance will receive a teal rally towel.

June 14 vs. Chicago Red Stars - Pride Night, presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City

The club will take the second weekend in June to host its annual Pride Night, in partnership with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City. Fans can look forward to a festival of community organizations on CPKC Plaza ahead of the match, as well as Pride themed merch and giveaways for fans. The Current will also honor Juneteenth, the annual holiday that marks the end of slavery in America.

June 28 vs. Houston Dash - Women's Cancer Awareness Night, presented by The University of Kansas Health System

The Kansas City Current and The University of Kansas Health System are partnering for Women's Cancer Awareness Night at CPKC Stadium on June 28. The University of Kansas Cancer Center offers the most advanced and comprehensive treatments for breast and gynecologic cancers. It is 1 of fewer than 60 National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer centers nationally and the only 1 in our region, where patients with cancer are proven to have better survival rates. Sept. 7 vs. Utah Royals - Salute To Armed Forces Night

Join us at CPKC Stadium for Salute To Armed Forces Night. We're proud to honor those who serve and have served with an evening of programming dedicated to the United States Armed Forces.

Sept. 20 vs. Washington Spirit - Female Athlete Night, presented by The University of Kansas Health System

Join KC Current and The University of Kansas Health System as the Washington Spirit comes to town, and we celebrate female athletes. The University of Kansas Health System understands the unique challenges that female athletes face. That's why the health system created the region's only Female Athlete Program to provide care for female athletes from middle schoolers to professionals and adult weekend warriors with the goal of making sure they reach their full athletic potential. Sept. 28 vs. Gotham FC - Family Day, presented by United Way of Greater KC

Celebrating CommUNITY Fest - one of the largest community-wide volunteer initiatives in the metro - the Current and the United Way are proud to honor and show our appreciation for all the participants here that have given their time and talent to making our community a better place.

Oct. 19 vs. San Diego Wave - Heart Health Awareness and Fan Appreciation Day, presented by CPKC

In the final home match of the regular season, the Current will thank the supporters who make Kansas City the Soccer Capital of America! Special merchandise and other celebratory opportunities await the best fans in the NWSL. We will also raise awareness about the importance of heart health. CPKC, through its CPKC Has Heart program, has helped raise more than $41.5 million to help improve the heart health of adults and children across North America. With every goal scored by the Kansas City Current this season, both at home and away, $1,000 will be donated to the Adelaide C. Ward Women's Heart Health Center at the University of Kansas Health System through the CPKC Goals for Heart program.
