
Kansas City Arena football team to hold open tryout

KANSAS CITY, MO - In the continuing effort to add talent to their existing roster, Kansas City Arena Sports & Entertainment, LLC ("KCASE"), the owner of the new Kansas City Arena Football team will hold open tryouts on Sunday October 23, 2005 at Sports City located at 425 N.E. Mock Avenue in Blue Springs, Missouri.
This year's tryouts will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 23, with registration for quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers and defensive backs. Registration for offensive and defensive linemen, fullbacks and linebackers will begin at 1:00 p.m. Tryouts for kickers will be held at a later date.
All players will be evaluated in the 40-yard dash, 20-yard shuttle and standing broad jump. Selected players may be invited to participate in an elite workout later in the off-season, where players will be evaluated in drills more specific to the game of Arena Football.

The pre-registration fee is $50 and is payable by check or money order. Registration fee the day of the event is $60 and is payable by cash or money order only. All registered participants will receive an official tryout t-shirt.
AFL teams have a history of signing players from open tryouts. All participants will need to provide their own workout attire: shoes, shorts and accessories. All workouts will take place on Sports City's Synthetic Playing Surface. KCASE are not responsible for travel or lodging expenses.
