Mahoning Valley Scrappers News Release
State College, PA - The Mahoning Valley Scrappers beat the State College Spikes 4-0 tonight at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park.
Alex Kaminsky pitched five shut out innings for the Scrappers allowing just three hits, striking out four, walking two and picking up his fourth win of the season.
Zack Von Rosenberg picked up the loss for the Spikes lasting five innings, allowing four runs on eight hits and striking out two.
Dan DeGeorge led the way offensively for the Scrappers going 2-3 with a double and two RBI.
The Scrappers will go for the sweep of this two-game set with the Spikes tomorrow night at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. First pitch is at 7:05 p.m.
