KALAMAZOO - The Kalamazoo Kings will have a six-game homestand starting Tuesday, August 19th. Tuesday - Saturday's games will start at 7:05 pm with Sunday's game starting at 4:05 pm. General Admission Tickets cost $5.00 and Box Seat Tickets cost $8.00.
The Kings will have a handful of great events for their fans to enjoy this week. Wednesday night is Charter Communications Night, where families can bring in their cable bill and receive free admission for the entire family. Children 14 and Under will receive free admission as well.
Thursday night will be Thirsty Thursday with $1 beer, pop, and hotdogs. Students can show their college ID card for $1 admission. American Airlines will be giving away one roundtrip airline ticket as well.
On Friday Allegis Credit Union will be at the park collecting blankets for the homeless. Any person who donates a blanket will receive a free ticket. Congressman Fred Upton has joined this promotion and will be collecting blankets at his office on the Kalamazoo Mall. Mr. Upton will be at the game in support of the Kings to participate in the pre-game ceremony. Friday Night Fireworks sponsored by Meijer will follow the game.
On the following Friday and Saturday nights the Kings and Educational Community Credit Union will be collecting backpack donations for children in need. Fans who donate a backpack will receive a free ticket.
The Kalamazoo Kings are a part of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league .The Kings are in first place in the East division with a nine-game lead over second place Traverse City.
