The K-Wings will begin the week this Wednesday, April 22nd with a 7 p.m. face-off versus the Fort Wayne Komets in game three of the best-of-seven series. Kalamazoo trails the series two games to none. During the regular season, Kalamazoo was 5-3-1-0 versus Fort Wayne at the Wings Events Center. Since January 17th, the K-Wings were 5-0-0-0 against the Komets at home.

KALAMAZOO - Taking a one-game to none lead in their best-of seven Divisional Series, the Fort Wayne Komets defeated the Kalamazoo Wings 4-2 in game one Friday night at Allen County Memorial Coliseum.

FORT WAYNE - For the second straight game goaltender Roman Will was able to keep the Kalamazoo Wings at bay. Will made 35 saves to lead the Fort Wayne Komets to a 3-0 victory over the K-Wings and in the process helped Fort Wayne to a two games to none lead in the best-of-seven Divisional Semifinal series.

Kalamazoo had success against Fort Wayne this season at home. During the regular season the K-Wings was 5-3-1-0 against the Komets at the Wings Event Center, which includes a mark of 5-0-0-0 since January 17th.

The K-Wings enter tonight looking to snap a streak. Dating back to last season, Kalamazoo has lost their last four playoff games.

Nearing a Milestone

Defenseman Sam Ftorek is closing in on a personal milestone. Ftorek's next playoff game will be the 100th of his career.

Getting Out if Front

Striking for the game's first goal proved to be successful for the K-Wings this season. While they haven't scored first in the postseason they were 22-9-0-2 in the regular season when scoring before their opposition.

The Obscure Stat of the Week

Last Saturday's shutout marked the third time in Kalamazoo's ECHL playoff history that they were held without a goal. Overall in the team's 42-year history, the K-Wings have been shutout just five times in playoff games.
