LOVELAND, Colo. - The Ontario Reign (2-1), four-time ECHL Pacific Division Champions and proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's 2014 Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings and Winnipeg Jets, scored a club-record five power-play goals in their 5-1 victory over the Colorado Eagles (1-2) to take a 2-1 series lead in the Pacific Division Semifinals in front of a crowd of 4,553 on Sunday night at the Budweiser Events Center.

Colorado took the evening's first lead midway through the first period while on the power-play, as Vitalijs Pavlovs' shot from the right point deflected off a Reign skater past Jussi Olkinuora at 13:49.

Minutes later, Everett Sheen managed to draw a penalty for tripping on Greg Gardner, and on the ensuing power-play, Maxim Kitsyn broke in and sent a cross-ice feed to Matt White, who slid the puck through pads of Jacob DeSerres at 17:15.

White added another goal with the man advantage at 18:53, after Dennis Brown fed White in the slot, and the forward spun around and snapped a shot past DeSerres at 18:53.

Ontario continued to make Colorado pay for its trips to the penalty box in the second period, as David Rutherford scored at 14:47 when he poked home a rebound from Garry Nunn, setting a new Reign playoff record for power-play goals in a single game.

The Reign did not stop after making team history, however. Tristan King added another goal at 17:27 during a 5-on-3 situation by knocking down Matt Register's slap-shot and shoving it past Deserres.

Ontario capped the scoring with its fifth power-play goal in the third period, as Register tallied a goal of his own with a bar-down wrist shot at 13:55. The Reign finished the night with five power-play goals on 13 chances.

Olkinuora earned his first postseason win in a Reign uniform by making 24 saves; DeSerres took the defeat with 22 stops.

Three Stars:

1. ONT - Matt White

2. ONT - Tristan King

3. ONT - Matt Register
