Kalamazoo Wings News Release
Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings of the United Hockey League announce that the Harold Zeigler Auto Group's K-Wings Karavan along with the K-Wings zany mascot, Slappy will be visiting the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer fund raiser at the Oakwood Plaza, which is located on the corner of Oakland Drive and Whites Road, from 5-7 pm.
Slappy will be signing autographs and helping Curves raise money for breast cancer awareness. While Slappy will be at the event from 5-7pm, this very important fund raiser is an all day event that begins at 11am. After the event at 7pm, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer will be holding a candle light vigil to memory of those who lost their life to this deadly diease.
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is hoping to raise $15,000 in this 8 hour event. To help raise money, they will be conducting a bake sale, as well as auctioning off many items including an autograph hockey stick from this year's K-Wings team, and a group of 15 tickets to the K-Wings home opener on October 23rd versus Port Huron.
The organization is hoping everyone comes out to this event and help them fight breast cancer.
