First Place Pelicans Come to Town - The K-Tribe and the Blue Crew made it to the third inning yesterday before the Delaware skies opened and cancelled Thursday's finale, it will not be made up. That puts Kinston 4 games behind first place Myrtle Beach with 11 games remaining in the first half. The Pelicans now come to Kinston for a three game series, it is the final time the two teams will meet in the first half
Comeback K-Tribe - The Indians have posted a 16-6 record over their last 22 contests, going from 8 1/2 to 4 games back of first place Myrtle Beach. Kinston has not lost back-to-back games since May 15th and 16th. The K-Tribe is 9-0 in one-run games over this winning stretch. After starting the season 2-6 in one run contest, Kinston now boasts the league's best mark with an 11-6 record in games decided by one run.
