K-Tribe Notes for Friday at Wilmington

The K-Tribe takes on the Blue Rocks in Wilmington for the middle game of the three game set Friday night at 7:05 pm. The K-Tribe returns to Historic Grainger Stadium this Monday for a seven game homestand!

Burning Down the House - T.J. House has been dominant against the Blue Rocks this season. In addition to winning his last two straight starts against Wilmington, House is 3-1 with a 0.67 ERA against Wilmington in five appearances against them this season. As a team Kinston has not hit well against the Blue Rocks this season, but Karexon Sanchez has hit .328 against them in 2010.

Blue Rocks Blanked - The 2-0 victory was the K-Tribe's Carolina League leading (tied with Wilmington and Lynchburg) ninth shutout of the season.

A Tough Two Weeks - The K-Tribe is at the tail end of a two week stretch of two series a piece against the two division leaders in the Carolina League. So far Kinston is 6-5, winning, splitting and losing a series. The K-Tribe will not play Wilmington or Winston-Salem again this regular season, but will play two series (one home, one away) against the rest of the Carolina League. The K-Tribe has a winning record so far this season against Myrtle Beach (9-5), Salem (7-6) and Potomac (7-5). The Indians are 6-6 against Frederick and are 5-8 against Lynchburg.
