K-Tribe Notes at Myrtle Beach
June 30, 2011 - Carolina League (CarL1)
Kinston Indians News Release
Indefatigable - Since resuming play after the all-star break, Kinston has needed the ninth inning or extras in five of seven games. The Indians took the first two games in Salem with ninth inning go-ahead runs and split two extra inning games against Potomac in Kinston. Wednesday's 10th inning affair with Myrtle Beach marked Kinston's 3rd straight extra inning contest, a feat no Kinston team has accomplished since digital records began in 2004.
On A Roll - Since the K-Tribe lost back-to back games May 15th and 16th, the team has reeled off 29 wins and 11 losses. That stretch has also included wins in 11 of 12 series. Kinston is two games shy of the league's best record - Myrtle Beach sits two games better than the K-Tribe at 45-31.
