Kinston Indians News Release
After securing a playoff berth on Friday night, Kinston will close out the regular season with four games in three days at Potomac, starting with tonight's doubleheader. First pitch 5:03.
Playoff Bound - The K-Tribe lost 10-5 at Frederick on Friday night to end a season-best nine game winning streak, but Salem's loss to Potomac clinched a playoff berth for Kinston. Kinston will make their first playoff appearance since 2007. It marks the 17th time in 24 seasons as a Cleveland Indians affiliate that Kinston has reached the playoffs. The Indians have are guaranteed a winning season for the 19th time under Cleveland's watch. They will meet the Winston-Salem Dash in a best-of-five Southern Division Championship series, starting Wednesday at 7 pm at BB&T Ballpark in Winston.
