
Juniors to Honor Ãmile "Butch" Bouchard

Montreal, September 3rd, 2009 - The Montreal Juniors Hockey Club will honor Ãmile "Butch" Bouchard on Friday, October 2nd, at 7.30 pm at the Verdun Auditorium, as the team will host the Saint John Seadogs. Be part of this special night and meet former hockey star Butch Bouchard, his sons, Pierre and Ãmile, and other members of their entourage.
In the Footsteps of a Legend
Born on September 4th, 1919, Ãmile « Butch » Bouchard left his mark in Montreal's junior hockey history from 1939 to 1969 as a player, coach, general manager, team and league president and journalist. Since 1976, the QMJHL's Defenseman of the Year Trophy is named in his honor. "Butch" Bouchard was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1966.
