
Juniors take care of business in 4-1 win

Montreal, February 22nd, 2009 - A two-goal performance by Matthew Brenton would help edge the Titan, Sunday afternoon in a 4-1 win for the Juniors. Playing their third game in as many nights, the Juniors strung together their third straight win.
Matthew Brenton opened the scoring at 3:05 of the first for the lone goal of the period. The Juniors struck again early in the second as Jérémy Gouchie tallied a power-play goal for his 14th of the season at 4:56.
With a two goal lead entering the final frame, the Titan would reduce the lead by one as Artem Demkov beat Juniors goalie Jean-Francois Bérubé at 2:00. Matthew Brenton would restore the two goal lead with just under five minutes to go, and his second of the night, on an unassisted goal to bring the Junior to a 3-1 lead. Philippe Fontaine would add an insurance goal two minutes later for his 8th of the season, as Jean-Francois Bérubé turned away 28 shots in the win.
The Juniors will not play again until Friday evening when they return home to play the Drummondville Voltigeurs at 7:00pm, followed by a Sunday afternoon matchup against the Lewiston MAINEiacs at 4:30pm.
