Cincinnati Jungle Kats News Release
CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Jungle Kats would like to repeat history tonight, when they once again face division-rival Fort Wayne Fusion this Saturday night at 7:00pm from Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The Kats earned their first and only win of the year against the Fusion, a 35-32 triumph on May 5th.
A big key to victory for Cincinnati will be to limit the damage that Fort Wayne quarterback Cody Hodges can do offensively. He is the leader in both passing and rushing yards, including an af2 second-best 28.0 yards-per-game on the ground. Hodges was injured early in the first meeting between the Kats and Fusion, yet still tossed a pair of TD's before being knocked out.
With the regular season winding down, tonight's game for the Fusion is crucial. Fort Wayne is 4-8, sitting just a few games out of a playoff spot. Including tonight, the Fusion can only afford one more loss to keep their playoff hopes alive. Two of their remaining three games are against division leaders (Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and Quad City).
Fans can hear all the action of Friday's game on 1530 HOMER - The Sports Animal beginning at 6:45pm or watch the game live via the B2 Network at www.JungleKatsFootball.com. The Jungle Kats will return to U.S. Bank Arena next Saturday night, July 7th, when they take on the Manchester Wolves at 7:30pm. Plenty of great tickets for the game are available by calling 513.381.TURF or online at www.JungleKatsFootball.com.
