July Fourth Weekend Almost Sold Out

Augusta, GA - The Augusta GreenJackets are putting on a Fireworks Extravaganza over the Fourth of July weekend with back-to-back firework nights and tickets are going fast. There are limited numbers of reserve seating available for the weekend series.
"This is going to be a great weekend and should be a lot of fun for everyone that comes out," General Manager Nick Brown said. "We are celebrating Independence weekend in a big way and it will be two great firework shows on back-to-back nights."
The GreenJackets will be home for a four game series against the New York Yankees affiliate, the Charleston RiverDogs, from July 2-5. The GreenJackets will have back-to-back firework nights on July 4 and July 5 to celebrate America's Independence.
"You can not ask for a better weekend with the family with the combination of fireworks and baseball," Brown said. "When you combine that with our low ticket prices and low concession prices along with free parking, that equals a packed stadium full of a lot of families having a good time."
The GreenJackets have sold out of box seating for both July 4th and July 5th. There are a limited number of reserve and general admission seating still available.
The Fourth of July Fireworks night will be presented by the Augusta Chronicle, WRDW News 12 and Time to Care.
If you can not make it to the Fourth of July celebration, The Augusta Chronicle and E-Z-GO presents an encore fireworks night on July 5th.
Both games on July 4th and 5th will start at 7:05 p.m. with gates opening at 6:00 p.m.
This is the first time the GreenJackets will be home for the Fourth of July Weekend since 2003.
The GreenJackets are in the middle of a five game road trip and began the second half of the season winning eight of the first 11 games. Augusta is currently 1.5 games back of first place in the Southern Division with an overall record of 49-31.
