Jr. Blues Greco, Larke and Patterson shine at Top Prospect Showcase
March 3, 2008 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Springfield Jr. Blues News Release
Springfield Jr. Blues forwards Kyle Greco, Matt Larke and Cory Patterson shined at the 1st Annual NAHL Top Prospects tournament held in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
The event, sponsored by the NAHL, is designed to show off the abundance of talent that the league has to college and professional scouts across the country in a three game round-robin tournament.
The Jr. Blues waisted no time with all three Central Division players netting points in the first game versus the talented US National Developmental team. Matt Larke started off the scoring with an unassisted goal. A short time later, Cory Patterson took a nice pass from Kyle Greco for the score. The team went on to win 3-2.
Patterson scored another goal the next night vs. the North Division team, however they lost in a shootout 5-4.
To say the least, Larke and Greco raised the curiousity of more than a few college scouts in attendance. Patterson has already committed to Army for next season.
Good job boys!!
