Fargo-Moorhead Jets News Release
(Fargo, ND) Johnson and Mihulka keep Jets in the hunt by providing leadership in the weekend sweep of Bismarck.
Offensive: Marc Mihulka (Grand Forks, ND) knows what it means to be a leader. Though he may be not hard spoken he gets it done on the ice as he snapped off three goals in the two-game set. Marc got the game winner in the shoot out on Friday as the Jets rallied from a 2-0 deficit with less than 15 minutes to play. Elliot Okland held off the Bobcat shooters to preserve the win 3-2.
"He continues to get what he deserves on the ice game after game," adds coach Kinslow.
On the season Mihulka has skated in 47 games providing 46 points (17G, 29A).
Defensive: Mark Johnson (Bloomington, MN) once again provided his presence to the team by adding three assists and was a plus- 2 against Bismarck. "Sparky" seems to always know where to be on the ice whether it's killing off a power-play or sparking the offense. On Friday he assisted on the game tying goal by Andy Dittus. Mark blasted a shot from the top of the right circle and with the extra attacker it was deflected in with less than one minute to play in the game!
"There's nothing Mark can't do it seems and during this playoff push he's been the spark we need," remarks coach Kinslow with a smile.
On the season Johnson has appeared in 47 games gaining 27 points (9G, 18A) and a plus- 13.
