(Florence, KY) - Ever wanted to take on a big league home run champion in a derby head-to-head? Today is your chance.
The tryout to qualify for the Jose Canseco home run derby presented by Save Discount Drugs is today at 4pm at UC Health Stadium, home of the Florence Freedom.
Registration begins at 3pm. Walk-ups are allowed.
The winner of the tryout will compete against two other local celebrities and Jose Canseco himself on Wednesday, August 5th during the Florence Freedom game. The Freedom play a doubleheader that day against the Normal CornBelters, and the derby will take place between games.
