DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Florida Fire Frogs suffered their first series sweep of the season, as the road team fell, 11-2, in the finale of the three-game set against the Daytona Tortugas at Jackie Robinson Ballpark on Wednesday night.

Ian Anderson (0-2) surrendered a run on four-consecutive hits to start the night for the 19-year-old, before retiring Taylor Trammell on a flyout to left for the first out of the inning. Daniel Sweet bounced out to second, bringing home T.J. Friedl for the second run of the inning, and after a walk to Bruce Yari, Anderson hit Malik Collymore to force in the third run of the frame.

Daytona (15-5) tacked on solo runs in the second and third innings to put Florida (6-14) in a five-run deficit, and force Anderson out of the game after just 2.2 innings.

The third-overall pick in the 2016 draft tossed just 2.2 innings for his second-consecutive start, allowing five runs on seven hits, two walks and two strikeouts in the losing effort on Wednesday.

The Tortugas used a two-out rally to plate six runs and open the score up to 11-0.

The Fire Frogs broke up the shutout with two runs in the seventh. Omar Obregon (1x4, 2B, RBI) and Anfernee Seymour (1x4, RBI) picked up run-scoring hits in the frame against Nick Howard (SV, 2).
