
Jonquel Jones Named Eastern Conference Player of the Week

UNCASVILLE, Conn. - Connecticut Sun center Jonquel Jones earned Eastern Conference Player of the Week honors on Monday.
It is Jones' fourth Player of the Week honor this season and the seventh of her career. In three games last week, she averaged 16.7 points and 9.3 rebounds while shooting 47.5 percent from the field. On Sunday in Indiana, she had a season-high 26 points on 11-of-19 shooting while also pulling down eight rebounds in the win. It was her third game this season with 20 or more points and the 21st of her career.
Jones earned Eastern Conference Player of the Week honors on June 3, June 10 and June 17 this season, becoming the first player in franchise history to receive the honor in three consecutive weeks. On July 11th she was named a starter for AT&T WNBA All-Star 2019, her second starting All-Star nod.
