HOUSTON - The Texas Copperheads are gearing up for our inaugural season in the af2 as game one of the 2007 season approaches on Friday, April 6th at 7pm. Keeping with af2 fan traditions, the atmosphere at a Copperheads game is going to be electric and exciting this year. Fans are encouraged to show their Copperheads enthusiasm on game day by showing their Copperheads colors (black, gold, and teal).
The Texas Copperheads are pleased to announce the COPPERHEADS CRAZY CRUE! A section in the Berry Center will be dedicated to the craziest, rowdiest Copperheads fans at the game. Not to mention, 20 game-day tickets will be dedicated to these fans and they will have the opportunity to enter the game for free.
Fans are encouraged to be creative, loud and big-time football fans. The fans with the craziest costumes, hilarious hair-do and wild wigs will be judged one hour prior to kick-off on game day. Fans should arrive at Entrance Two at the Berry Center on game day with their best Copperheads spirit. Twenty of the craziest fans will be selected and be awarded a ticket for free.
Daniel Hinojosa, Director of Fan Relations added, "The Copperheads organization wants to create a fan-friendly, electric atmosphere, the Copperheads Crazy Crue is a great way for our most dedicated fans to enjoy the game with our compliments. We have an exciting game day entertainment package for our fans this season."
The Texas Charmers Dance Team, directed by former San Antonio Spurs and Houston Rockets Power Dancer Heather Medlock, has been eagerly awaiting the first game to show you our new Professional Dance Team. We have many games and surprises in store for our fans on game night.
