HOUSTON - The Texas Copperheads play their first home game at the new Berry Center at 7:00pm on April 6, 2007 against the number one ranked Florida Firecats and today the team finalized their roster for the upcoming season.
The Copperheads have announced their final roster entering their first af2 game and the return of arena football in Houston. Below is a listing of the roster entering week one:

The Copperheads offense will be led by Quarterback Tony Eckert, a former Southern Methodist Mustang; he will be protected by former Ohio State Buckeye Robby Walker.
On Defense, the Copperheads are led by Missouri State standout Kalian Williams and Greg Yeldell, a former University of Indiana Hoosier. The "Fang Gang" defense is ready for all foes in the 2007 af2 season.
The Copperheads roster also has a local flavor with many players from the greater Houston area like Marvin Abii from Westbury High School. Matthew Beeler played at Katy High School and played college football at Texas State University just to name a few.
The kicking game is anchored by Nick Gatto from Spring and he played college football at Arkansas State and has played at both the arenafootball and af2 levels.
