
Albany Conquest games to air on WVCR

ALBANY, NY - The Albany Conquest of arenafootball2 today announced they have reached an agreement with Siena College radio station WVCR-FM (88.3) to broadcast the first 10 games of the 2007 season. Details are being finalized on where the final six games can be heard.
WVCR-FM (88.3) serves the Capital Region of New York Station with 35,000 watts of commercial free power 24 hours a day, seven days a week. WVCR-FM (88.3) is owned and operated by Siena College and is the fifth ranked college station in the nation.
"We are happy to begin this partnership with Siena College and their nationally recognized station," Conquest Vice President of Marketing Jonathan Scherzer said. "Our goal is to make Albany Conquest arena football available to as many of our fans as possible. This new relationship will enhance not only the quality of our game broadcasts but provide a strong signal as well."
""What a great way to start the spring," WVCR General Manager Darrin Scott Kibbey said. "I've worked with the Conquest for years and I couldn't be happier to continue that relationship through our WVCR-FM airwaves."
Don Helbig (play-by-play), Jim Ornstein (play-by-play) and former Conquest quarterback Gus Ornstein (color analyst) will serve as the broadcast team for the Conquest.
The Albany Conquest begins its sixth arenafootball2 season Friday, April 6 against the Mahoning Valley Thunder at 7 p.m. at U.S. Army Field at Times Union Center. On-air, pre-game on WVCR-FM (88.3) begins at 6:45 p.m.
