
Johnston Named to U18 Hlinka Gretzky Selection Camp

Windsor, ON -ÃÂ Hockey Canada announced today that Windsor Spitfires forward Wyatt Johnston has made Team Canada's training camp roster for the 2020ÃÂ U18 Hlinka Gretzky Cup. The team was scheduled to play in Edmonton and Red Deer, Alberta in August but has been cancelled due to the ongoing COVID crisis.
Johnston was selected by the Windsor Spitfires during the 1st round, 6th overall in the 2019 OHL Priority Selection. This season he had 12 goals and 18 assists for 30 points in his rookie campaign with the club. Johnston is a prospect for the 2021 NHL entry draft. JohnstonÃÂ previously played with Hockey Canada at the WHC U17, where he played for Canada Red and had 5 points (2 goals/3 assists) in 5 games.
