
Johnson, LaDue Sign NHL Contracts

Lincoln, Neb. - Stars alums and Luke Johnson and Paul LaDue signed entry-level NHL contracts on Friday.
Johnson inked a deal with the Chicago Blackhawks while LaDue signed with the Los Angeles Kings.
The cousins and former Stars played in Lincoln from 2011-2013 before joining the North Dakota Fighting Hawks and winning the 2016 NCAA Division 1 men's ice hockey championship.
LaDue, a 6'1" 197 pound defenseman, logged 62 points in 123 games for the Fighting Hawks. He had 41 points in 46 games with the Stars from 2011-2013.
Johnson recorded 66 points in 127 games at North Dakota. The 6'0" 194 pound forward finished his two-year USHL career with 101 points in 112 games.
Both players are electing to forgo their senior seasons. LaDue was a sixth round selection in the 2012 NHL Draft. Johnson went in the fifth round the following year.
