Joey Gallo Bobblehead Headlines Riders Giveaway Schedule

FRISCO, TEXAS - The Frisco RoughRiders, the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, announced Thursday their list of giveaways for the 2016 season with six bobbleheads, headlined by a Joey Gallo "Big Stick" Bobblehead on Sunday, June 25. Twenty-seven of the 70 home dates and 20 of the 34 weekend dates have giveaways included.
Also built into the slate are a bobblehead of the Riders' mascot Deuce on Friday, April 29 and two of the team "Ambassador of Fun" Michael Gruber, a.k.a "Grubes", a.k.a @tweetgrubes. The team even plans on giving away a life-size bobblehead of Grubes on Thursday, August 18 on "Thirsty Thursday" and a "Thursday Night Pool Party" night! (Note: bobblehead is not guaranteed to float in the new Choctaw Lazy River without its own raft)
Family-focused highlights of the giveaway schedule include RoughRiders wristlets on Mother's Day, Sunday, May 8; RoughRiders ties on Father's Day, Saturday, June 18; and smiling Teddy Roosevelt pillows to kids 12-and-under on Sunday, July 10. Christmas comes early with Christmas in July on Sunday, July 17 with an ugly Christmas sweater-style t-shirt giveaway.
The RoughRiders announced "Riders-Con" on Wednesday, including Salute to Top Gun with flight-suit-inspired uniforms. Along with the uniforms, beach volleyball matches inside the ballpark, and call signs for the players, the club will be handing out Riders aviators to the first 1,000 fans through the gates on Friday, June 24.
After the completion of the Choctaw Lazy River in early June, the team will be handing out RoughRiders cowboy boot porcelain mugs on a "Thursday Night Pool Party" night, Thursday, July 28.
Other giveaways include, but are not limited to, magnet schedules for the first 2,000 fans on Opening Night, Thursday, April 14; team posters on Sunday, May 1; RoughRiders kids capes on Superhero Night, Saturday, June 4; back-to-school backpacks on Sunday, July 31; and RoughRiders footballs on Collegiate Night, Saturday, September 3.

Single-game tickets will go on sale on Saturday, March 12 at TicketFest, a free-to-attend FanFest event at Dr Pepper Ballpark from 10:00 a.m.-noon. The event includes catch on the field, $1 concession specials, merchandise promotions at the Riders Outpost, and more!
The RoughRiders will open their 2016 home schedule at Dr Pepper Ballpark on Thursday, April 14 and host 70 home dates through Labor Day, September 5.
