
Joe Germaine to Make Third AFL Start

Phoenix, AZ â Rattlers quarterback Joe Germaine will make his third career start in the AFL tonight, when the Rattlers host the Colorado Crush at America West Arena at 7:30 PM. Germaine is starting in place of Sherdrick Bonner, who is still bothered by the bone bruise on his knee that his kept him out the past two weeks. Bonner remains on the Injured Reserve list.
In his second season with the Rattlers, Germaine is quickly adapting the arena game after a standout career at Ohio State that included a victory over Arizona State in the 1997 Rose Bowl. In three games this season, Germaine has thrown for 582 yards and nine touchdowns. He has also tossed four interceptions while completing nearly 60% of his passes.
The Rattlers hope to even their record at 2-2 Saturday when they host the Crush, who also come in at 1-2. Arizona defeated the Crush in last year's AFL Semi-Finals to earn a spot in the ArenaBowl.
