San Antonio Rampage News Release

SAN ANTONIO (August 23, 2007) - The San Antonio Rampage announced today that the American Hockey League club has named Joe Dominey as their play-by-play announcer.

"There's no denying Joe's presence," Spurs Sports & Entertainment's Director of Broadcasting Mike Kickirillo said. "He has the personality and the delivery that I believe our fans will instantly like. I've been a fan of his for several years and I am very pleased to have him call our games."

Dominey replaces Andrew Monaco, who has been promoted within SS&E.

Most recently as the director of media relations and broadcasting for the United League's Laredo Broncos baseball club, the 35-year-old Dominey served as the voice of the Rampage's Central Hockey League affiliate in Laredo, TX, the last four years.

Selected as the 2006 CHL Broadcaster of the Year, Dominey has called games for CHL's Memphis RiverKings and the Idaho Steelheads of the West Coast Hockey League. The Linfield College graduate made his professional broadcasting debut with the Los Angeles Dodgers' Class-A affiliate Yakima Bears in the Northwest League.

In addition to calling all 80 Rampage regular season and playoff games, Dominey will also spend time in marketing and communications roles for the Rampage.

"We are thrilled to add someone with Joe's experience in broadcasting and marketing to our growing staff," Rampage's Director of Hockey Business Operations Ryan Snider said. "Joe has a great broadcast voice and style that I'm sure our fans will truly enjoy."

The Astoria, Oregon native will make his Rampage debut on October 6 when the team begins their sixth AHL season at the AT&T Center against the Iowa Stars. Rampage season ticket packages have been greatly reduced and are on sale now. For ticket information, please call 210.444.5554 or visit sarampage.com.
