Janesville Jets News Release
The North American Hockey League (NAHL) has once again named Janesville Jets goaltender Tony Kujava (Green Bay, WI) one of the league's three weekly stars. Please see below for the media release from the NAHL describing Kujava's recent and season-long success and for a quote from Jets Head Coach Dane Litke.
On Monday at the NAHL Top Prospects Tournament, Janesville Jets forward Jake Horton starred in the NAHL 18U Selects Team's 4 - 3 win over the West squad. Horton scored a goal and had an assist, along with being +2 for the game.
Jets defenseman Michael Preston (Carmel, IN) scored an unassisted goal early in the first period for the Coach Litke-led Midwest squad, but the North team came roaring back and scored 8 unanswered goals in their 8 - 1 victory. Jets goalie Tony Kujava stopped 25 shots in the loss.
The Top Propsects Tournament features six teams, one from each of the five NAHL Divisions and a 6th NAHL 18U Selects team, competing against one another in the three-day event that showcases some of the NAHL's top players. Games continue today and on Wednesday in Troy, MI. All Top Prospects Tournament games can be viewed live via the Internet through http://nahl.fasthockey.com/login.php.
