TROY, Mich. - Five members of the Traverse City North Stars have earned their respective stripes over the first two days of the three-game NAHL Top Prospects Tournament at the Troy Sports Center.

Sean Murphy (Cary, NC/Tri-City USHL) has a pair of goals in as many games to pace the North Division all-stars, while defenseman Chris Leibinger (Saginaw, MI/TC North Stars NAHL/Michigan Tech) has a goal to go with a pair of assists for the NAHL Select U18s squad.

Zach Dorer (Holt, MI/Des Moines USHL/Ferris State) and Will Badner (Cadillac, MI/Motor City NAHL) each bagged an assist on Monday in Team North's 8-1 rout of the MidWest Division prospects, while Murphy netted his second goal of the tourney in the North's 4-1 triumph over the West all-stars on Tuesday - a tally which turned out to be the game-winner.

Kyle Schempp (Saginaw, MI/Compuware U18/Ferris State) set up Leibinger for the U18 Selects' first goal of the tourney in a 4-3 victory over Team West.

The NAHL Top Prospects Tournament concludes on Wednesday with a de facto title game, as the North Division and Central Division - the events' only 2-0 sides - square off in the finale. The U18 Selects take on the Midwest Division all-stars.

The North Stars (22-16-5) return to the North Division playoff chase on Friday, hosting interdivisional foe Chicago at Centre ICE for a two-game series.
