
Jets Agree to Terms with Will O'Neill

The Winnipeg Jets today announced they have agreed to terms with defenceman Will O'Neill on a one-year, two way contract worth $575,000.
O'Neill, 26, played in 68 games with the St. John's IceCaps last season. In that time, the left-handed defenceman recorded 36 points (9G, 27A) and 80 penalty minutes. He also played in 18 post-season games with the club for 16 points (3G, 13A) and 27 penalty minutes. The Salem, MA native has played in 134 career AHL games, all with the IceCaps, for 60 career points (13G, 47A) and 121 career penalty minutes.
He was originally drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers in the seventh round, 210th overall, in the 2006 NHL Draft.
