Fargo Force News Release
FARGO, ND -Goaltender Brendan Jensen has committed to play his college hockey at the University of Manitoba beginning in the fall.
Jensen was with the Force for two seasons, where he played in a total of 64 games posting an overall record of 30-27-4 with 2 shutouts. He finished his junior career with an overall average of 3.38 goals against and a .906 save percentage. In the 2012-13 season, Jensen ended the year tied for fourth overall in the USHL in save percentage. That year, the Force went on to win the Western Conference Championship and head to the Clark Cup Finals where they eventually fell to the Dubuque Fighting Saints in three games.
The goaltender from El Granada, CA became ineligible for NCAA Division 1 hockey when he opted to play in the WHL for the 2009-10 season. Once a player is in a league where they are paid, they are considered a professional and thus are not eligible to play in the NCAA. In his full junior career, he also spent time playing with the Vancouver Giants (WHL), Wenatchee Wild (NAHL) and the Spruce Grove Saints (AJHL).
