Jacksonville, Fla (April 14, 2009) - The Diamond Jaxx continue the five game series in Jacksonville FL, at 12:05 CDT this afternoon. The Jaxx dropped their second game of the season on Tuesday night, 3-2 after a comeback bid fell short in the ninth inning.

Making the start for the Diamond Jaxx will be RHP Ricky Orta (0-0, 3.00), and will be opposed by LHP Sean West (0-1, 6.00) for Jacksonville. Each making their second start of the 2009 season. Orta's first stat of the season came on Friday nights suspended game in Montgomery. Orta went three innings and allowed one run on one hit. He struck out four before the game was halted due to rain. Orta was the 4th round selection by the Mariners in the 2006 June draft.

News and Notes: Yesterday, the Jaxx placed RHP Luis Pena on the disabled list (right shoulder stiffness), he has been replaced in the rotation by RHP Patrick Ryan. Ryan will get the start for the Jaxx on Saturday night at 6:05 CDT. Ryan made five starts last year for Huntsville, the Double-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers.

Yesterday's starter LHP Robert Rohrbough took the loss but struck out five Suns hitters. He now has 11 strikeouts which leads the Southern League in strikeouts. The Diamond Jaxx pitching staff ranks 3rd in the Southern League in pitching with a 3.00 ERA through six games.

Ezequiel Carrera went 1 for 5 on Tuesday night meaning he has reached base in each of the first six games. Carrera is hitting .346 with an OBP of .433
