Jaxx Announce June 2-11 Promotional Highlights

(Jackson, TN) June 1- The West Tennessee Diamond Jaxx will return to Jackson for a ten game homestand beginning on Friday, June 2nd. The first five games will pit the Diamond Jaxx against the Tennessee Smokies, the AA-Affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks, from June 2nd to June 6th. The homestand will conclude with the Birmingham Barons' only trip to Jackson during the 2006 regular season from June 7th through June 11th.

Friday, June 2nd will feature "Kids Run the Bases" after the great Southern League baseball game. This is an opportunity for all children ages 12 and under to get on the same field as the future stars of the Chicago Cubs and run the bases following the conclusion of the game.

Saturday, June 3rd is a FIREWORKS night at Pringles Park. Jackson Parent Magazine is sponsoring the fantastic fireworks display that will light up the sky after the game. After the fireworks, children will have another opportunity to "Run the Bases." And, fans 21 and older can enjoy $2.00 draft beer through the end of the seventh inning.

On Sunday, June 4th, fans will have the opportunity to see the Jaxx play early in the afternoon with the game beginning at 1:05pm. It will be a "Church Bulletin Sunday" with fans receiving one free general admission ticket when they show a church bulletin at the ticket office. Kids can run the bases after the game too!

Monday night, June 5th, the Jaxx are back under the lights to compete against the Smokies for an important game in determining the Southern League Northern Division Standings. Until the conclusion of the seventh inning, Diamond Jaxx fans can purchase 24-ounce draft beer for just $2.00.

On Tuesday night, June 6th, the Diamond Jaxx wrap-up their stint against the Smokies. Fans will enjoy the fact that it will be "Two For Tuesday." That means two for the price of one on tickets, hot dogs, and bags of popcorn.

Wednesday night, June 7th, marks the beginning of a five game series between the Jaxx and the Birmingham Barons, the AA Affiliate of the Chicago White Sox. Fans wearing Chicago Cubs clothing will receive one free general admission ticket since it will be a "Wrigley Wednesday."

The Jaxx continue their series with the Barons on Thursday night, June 8th. Fans should come out and enjoy another one of Pringles Park's fine "Thirsty Thursdays." This means two for one specials on all 20-ounce Pepsi products and all 16-ounce draft beers.

Friday, June 9th, will be the first "Faith Night™" of the 2006 season, brought to you by Third Coast Sports. The evening will feature a pre-game concert by Christian band Mainstay. The band recently released an album named "Well Meaning Fiction". The gates will open at 5:30pm and the concert is slated to run from 5:45pm until 6:45pm. In addition to the concert, Bob and Larry of The VeggieTales will be entertaining children of all ages for the evening. As always, Friday nights feature "Kids Run the Bases" after the game.

Saturday, June 10th is Diamond Jaxx Team Autograph Night. When the gates open at 6:00pm, you will have the opportunity to go on the field and get autographs from the future stars of the Chicago Cubs. The autograph session will run until 6:30pm. After the game, children will have yet another opportunity to "Run the Bases." And, fans 21 and older can purchase $2.00 draft beer through the end of the seventh inning. Sunday afternoon, June 11th, marks the final game of the homestand between the Jaxx and the Barons. It will be another "Church Bulletin Sunday," so Jaxx fans should come out and cheer on their Jaxx for a great afternoon of Southern League Baseball.

Sunday, June 11th wraps up the homestand with another "Church Bulletin Special." Diamond Jaxx fans can bring your June 11th church bulletin to the Diamond Jaxx box office and receive one (1) FREE General Admission ticket. Also, "Kids Run the Bases" after the game.

With the exception of the Sunday 1:05pm games on June 4th and 11th, all games start at 7:05pm with the gates opening an hour before game time.
