Dubuque Fighting Saints News Release

DUBUQUE, IOWA - Dubuque Fighting Saints goaltender Jaxon Castor announced his future plans, committing to Arizona State University. The Sun Devils are a brand-new member of NCAA Division I hockey, having previously been classified as an ACHA Division I club.

Castor will be joining former Fighting Saints Assistant Coach/Director of Scouting Mike Field, who recently accepted the position of Associate Head Coach at Arizona State earlier this summer.

Castor joined the Fighting Saints as a second round pick in Phase 2 of the 2015 USHL Entry Draft. He hails from Phoenix, Ariz., where he played for the Phoenix Junior Coyotes for two seasons before joining the Fighting Saints.

Castor shined during the playoffs with the Junior Coyotes last season, posting a 1.99 goals-against average, and a .944 save percentage. He has played in both preseason games for Dubuque, battling for a spot on the final roster.

The regular season, presented by American Trust, will begin on September 26, as the Fighting Saints host the Madison Capitols. Magnetic schedules, provided by American Trust, will be given away to the first 3,000 fans. Tickets are available by calling the box office at 563.583.6880, or online at DubuqueFightingSaints.com.
