
Jason Preston Named G League Player of the Month

SALT LAKE CITY - The NBA G League announced today that Utah Jazz two-way guard Jason Preston has been named Kia NBA G League Player of the Month (POTM) for March 2024. Preston finished the G League season as the league leader in triple-doubles, securing five in March. This marks the guard's first POTM accolade, who helped lead the Stars to an 11-game winning streak (Mar. 2 through Mar. 29) and playoff qualification after a 5-10 start.
Preston (6-3, 181, Ohio) averaged a triple-double for the month, with 19.4 points, 11.2 rebounds, and 11.8 assists. During the regular season, he appeared in 26 games for the Stars (all starts), averaging 16.9 points on 49.7 percent shooting, 44.4 percent from downtown, to go with 9.3 rebounds and 9.8 assists. He finished third in the G League in assists (9.6), while ranking first amongst all guards in both rebounds (9.5) and assists. The 24-year-old totaled eight triple-double performances after joining the Stars in January 2024.
The Salt Lake City Stars concluded their regular season with a 20-14 record, before being eliminated by the Santa Cruz Warriors in the G League Playoff quarterfinals on Apr. 2.
