Guelph Storm News Release

The Guelph Storm Hockey Club is pleased to announce that, effective immediately, Jason Brooks has been appointed the Assistant General Manager of the Club. In addition to his role as Head Coach, Jason will be responsible for the Hockey Operations of the team and will report directly to Rick Hoyle, President of the team.

"Jason brings valuable Assistant General Manager experience having worked alongside Dave Barr for a number of years", Rick Hoyle offered. "As a management team we feel confident in Jason's ability and have no doubt that he is capable of successfully managing the day to day hockey operations of this club." Jason was appointed head coach of the team back in July after previous GM and Head Coach Dave Barr accepted a job with the Colorado Avalanche of the NHL.

"I am very honoured to be given such great responsibility and am looking forward to this opportunity", Brooks said.

Jason and the rest of the Guelph Storm will open their 18th season in the Royal City on Friday, September 19th as the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds visit the Sleeman Centre.
