Evansville Otters News Release
Aug. 13, 2008, Evansville, Ind. - It was not always pretty but it was a win none the less as the Otters took game two of their series against Gateway by a final of 5-3. Nick Jaros led the way as he went 2-4 with two homeruns.
The Otters ripped nine hits, Tom Pennino, Gered Mochizuki, and Nick Salotti all had multi hit nights. Evansville native Adam Rogers (7-4) was fantastic once again on the mound as he pitched seven innings striking out six and allowed only one unearned run. The Otters made five errors on the defensive side that accounted for all three of Gateway's runs.
Evansville will try and go for the series win on Thursday night. Former Purple Ace Kai Tuomi will take the mound for the Otters with first pitch scheduled for 7:05 CDT.
