
Jansen nets hat trick, leads Coulee Region to 6-3 win over Janesville

Lacrosse, Wis. - The Janesville Jets could not stop the Coulee Region Chill's Mac Jansen, who tallied a hat trick in a 6-3 win.
Jansen notched his first tally 3:48 into the second period. He then added goals at 8:33 into the second and at 16:03 into the second.
Coulee Region stifled Janesville's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Chill's goal total was higher than their season average. This season, Coulee Region averages 2.9 goals per contest. The Chill relied on a core group of players for most of their offense, as Jansen, Jesse Tredinnick and Brogran Rafferty took 15 of the team's 25 shots. Coulee Region could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 24 minutes in penalties during the game.
Coulee Region additionally got points from Sean Kalbak, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Coulee Region were Eddie Matsushima, Gordon Wells, Richard Zehnal, and Cam Bleck, who each chipped in one.
The Jets' penalty kill was ineffective, and let in three goals to the Chill's power play unit. With 32 shots on target during the contest, Janesville exceeded the 24.5 shots it averages per game this year.
The Jets were helped by Michael Louria, who tallied one goal. Louria scored 9:11 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Coulee Region. Zach Yoder assisted on the tally. Janesville also got points from Jordan Himley, who also registered one goal and one assist. Janesville also got a goal from Adam Winborg as well. More assists for
Janesville came via Carson Vance, who had one and Robin Hoglund, who had two.
Adam Carlson made 29 saves for Coulee Region on 32 shots. Logan Halladay rejected 19 shots on goal for Janesville. The Jets incurred 32 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
Coach Joe Dibble says, "We came out strong, but Coulee capitalized on their specialties during the power play. They utilized their strengths tonight."
