The North American Hockey League (NAHL) announced yesterday that Janesville Jets forward Nick Albergo was named the North Division Second Star of the Week for the week ending November 25, 2012.

Albergo (5' 10", 190 lbs), from Elmhurst, IL, had 5 total points in the Jets three-game road series this past weekend. He scored a goal in the Jets 4-3 win over the Michigan Warriors last Friday night and then notched two more goals in the Jets 4-3 overtime loss against the Warriors on Saturday. In Sunday's Jets 4-2 win versus the Port Huron Fighting Falcons, Albergo scored another goal plus had an assist and was named player of the game.

The Second Star of the Week honor comes after Albergo returned to the Jets after a scoring hot streak playing in the Tier III Minnesota Junior Hockey League (MNJHL). With the Wisconsin Dells Ducks, Nick was their leading scorer with 13 goals and 14 assists for 27 points in 18 games in the Dells.

Albergo played in 4 games for the Jets in September, but had no points. He was traded to the Ducks in early October.

The Divisional Stars of the Week is a weekly feature during the 2012-13 regular season that honors the top performing players in each of the four NAHL divisions as nominated by their respective teams.
