A little over halfway through the 2011-12 North American Hockey League (NAHL) regular season, the Janesville Jets hockey team is now in first place in the MidWest Division with an impressive record of 24-6-3 for 51 total points.

The St. Louis Bandits team is second in the division with 50 points, then the Coulee Region Chill with 26, the Springfield Jr. Blues with 25 and the Chicago Hitmen with 13 points. The Jets have the third most points in the whole 28 team NAHL.

This past weekend the Janesville Jets swept the Hitmen at home, winning Friday night 3-1 and Saturday night 4-2. The Jets now have a 6 game winning streak and have won 14 out of the last 19 games.

The Jets play the Chicago Hitmen at home again this weekend, with both the Friday, January 6th and Saturday, January 7th night games starting at 7 PM with the box office opening at 5:45 PM.

Here are some other important Jets facts:

- Tony Kujava became the Jets all-time leader in wins by a goaltender this weekend, notching both wins against Chicago. "Kujo" now has 28 career wins for the Jets surpassing David Jacobson's record of 26 wins. Kujava leads the NAHL in goaltender wins this season with 19, is second in save percentage with .935%, and is third in goals against average at 1.68. Tony also leads the NAHL in shutouts with seven, three more than the second place goalie who only has 4.

- Head Coach Dane Litke's latest trade in which he acquired forward Darren McCormick from the Amarillo Bulls appears to be masterful. McCormick has 13 points (4 goals, 9 assists) along with a +9 rating in just his first five Jets games. In Saturday night's 4-2 victory, Darren had two goals and an assist, along with a +4 rating.

- Connor McBride is now tied with former Jets star Ross Mauermann for most goals in Jets history with 40.

- Jordan Bancroft now leads the Jets in scoring this season with 31 points (14 goals, 17 assists), followed by Connor McBride with 30 (15 goals, 15 assists), and Pijus Rulevicius with 28 (13 goals, 15 assists).
