Janesville Jets News Release
BMO Harris Bank and the Janesville Jets have teamed up for the `Goals for Good' program to benefit United Way Blackhawk Region. For every goal scored by the Jets at a home game during the 2012-2013 season, BMO Harris Bank will donate $25 dollars to United Way's 2012 Campaign.
"We are thrilled to be the recipient of such an electrifying program. Each time the Jets "light the lamp," BMO will make a contribution to help United Way reach the community's goals for the common good," said Steve Kinkade, United Way President.
"Supporting our fans, friends and neighbors in Rock County and beyond, is a priority for the Jets organization," said Bill McCoshen, Janesville Jets President. "This is a unique opportunity for us to help others while doing what we do best."
Mary Willmer, Community President, BMO Harris Bank said, "We are very pleased to partner with the Janesville Jets in this fun and exciting way to support the United Way of Blackhawk Region with the 'Goals for Good' program. "
Willmer went on to say, "In the past as M&I, and now as BMO Harris Bank, we are committed to enhancing and strengthening the quality of life of those who live and work in the communities we serve. Understanding what's happening in our communities is important to us at BMO Harris Bank because it helps us define which resources and financial expertise will benefit and support our communities best."
The Janesville Jets season opener is on Friday, September 21, 7 p.m. at the Janesville Ice Arena (821 Beloit Ave.). United Way Blackhawk Region will launch its 2012 fundraising campaign with events Wednesday, Sept. 19. The Janesville kick-off will take place at Rotary Botanical Gardens. The Beloit launch is planned at the Eclipse Center.
United Way recruits people and organizations from all across the community who bring the passion, expertise and resources we need to get things done. We invite you to join us. You can give. You can advocate. You can volunteer. That's what it means to LIVE UNITED.
