Janesville, WI - Robin Hoglund grabbed two points to lead the Janesville Jets to a 5-2 victory over the Michigan Warriors.

Janesville's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Michigan power plays. The Jets' offense was clicking better than usual and put 28 shots on goal during the game, better than the 23.5 shots per game they average. Janesville surpassed its usual scoring output this season. The Jets have scored at the pace of 2.9 goals per game during the current campaign. Janesville's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as the Jets finished with 26 penalty minutes.

Janesville additionally got points from Jordan Himley, who also finished with one goal and two assists, Michael Louria, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Zach Avolio, who also had one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Janesville also got a goal from Adam Winborg as well. In addition, Janesville received assists from Jesse Junttila, Evan Feno, and Brock Kautz, who contributed one a piece.

The 35 shots that Michigan put on net surpassed the Warriors' average of 24.9 shots per game this season.

Michigan was helped by Colin Horton, who grabbed one goal. Horton scored 15:27 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Connor Lyons picked up the assist. Colin Larkin also scored for Michigan. More assists for Michigan came via Sean Campbell, Alec Pellegrino, and Joshua Shellman, who each chipped in one.

Janesville's Kautz stopped 33 shots out of the 35 that he faced. The Jets registered one goal on two power play opportunities. Dillion Kelley made 23 saves for the Warriors on 27 shots. Michigan incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.

Coach Joe Dibble says, "I think the biggest thing was how the vibe from last night transferred over into tonight. We had a ten-minute lapse in the second period but we battled back which gave us those two goals. This is a vibe that is going to be contagious with this hockey team. The family atmosphere and the work ethic is something that the fans in this town deserve, and that is something we plan on delivering from here on out."
