October 6, 2013 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Michigan Warriors News Release
Through 2 Periods, the Michigan Warriors were tied with the Janesville Jets at 2 goals apiece, courtesy of the Colin's; Warriors forwards Colin Horton (3) and Colin Larkin (3) had Michigan in position to split the 2-game series with Janesville.
However, 3 unanswered goals allowed the Jets to come off the ice with a series sweep of the Warriors. Warriors Head Coach Moe Mantha, who was unhappy with his team after Friday night's game, commented that Michigan "Had a better team effort tonight, however, mental mistakes in the 3rdPeriod cost us the game".
Janesville got all 5 goals from different players in the game, and goaltender Brock Kautz stopped all 15 Warriors shots in the 3rd period to collect the victory. The Warriors outshot Janesville in the contest 35-28. Dillon Kelley stopped 23 of 27 Janesville shots in loss for the Warriors.
The Michigan Warriors return to Perani Arena and Event Center this week for 3 games, starting with a Wednesday night game vs. I-69 rival the Port Huron Fighting Falcons. Michigan then plays host for two games against the Johnstown Tomahawks Friday and Saturday, with all games at 7:00PM.
