Jamestown Jammers News Release
The Jammers get a quality team win over the Elmira Pioneers 6-2.
The Jammers struck first in the bottom of the 2nd as Daillin Lee (UC-Irvine) signled bringing in runner Ben Livorsi (St. Louis) making the score 1-0.
Then in the bottom of the 4th, the Jammers came back with another run. Josh Lamb (UTSA) hit a solid single allowing Chris Rubottom (Wofford) to come in to make the score 2-0.
Then in the bottom of the top of the 7th inning, the Pioneers added a quick run from a Blaine Smith (Samford) ground out bringing in runner Colin Davis (Wofford) making the score 2-1 single allowing Matt Rubayo to score making the score 4-2.
Right after that in the bottom of the 7th, the Jammers countered the pioneers with 3 separate runs of their own. Alex O'Donnell (Mercyhurst) singled bringing in Josh Brammell (NC Central). Following that, Chase Keng (UTSA) grounded out but allowed Josh Brammell to score.RIght after that, Ben Livorsi came in to make the score 5-1.
In the top of the 8th, the Pioneers came back with a run of their own as Brooks Carlson (Sanford) came in on a wild pitch.
Jammers starter Jack Rose (Hartford) started and gave the Jammers a solid 4.0 inning, 3 hit, 2 strikeout outing. Ryan Boyer (Pitt-Bradford) also chipped in wiht a solid 1.2 inning outing while fanning 4 batters. Elmira's starter Rhyse Dee (Wake Forest) went 4.0 innings allowing 2 runs on 4 hits while striking out 5.
Solid Pitching leads the Jammers to a 5-2 win over the Elmira Pioneers.
