
Jammer Running for Mayor

JOLIET - After clinching a playoff spot for the first time since 2002, the JackHammers very own Jammer has announced that he will be running for Mayor of Joliet. Jammer is a Joliet native that believes community should come first. Over the past 8 years Jammer has worked closely with local kids through his Book Buddies Reading Program. Jammer rewards youngsters who read books with free tickets to any Tuesday or Wednesday home game. Jammer's new counterpart Juliet has been appointed to be the campaign manager. When contacted about this latest development, local politicians declined comment. Jammer's message is clear "It's time to change the game".
"Come on JackHammer Nation! Show us your voice! Tired of the nonsense? The blue guys your choice!" said Jammer.
Come out to Silver Cross Field on Wednesday and Thursday to support Jammer in his race to become mayor and cheer on the JackHammers on their road to the ring.
Loose Gravel: The Joliet JackHammers open the 2010 Northern League playoffs on Wednesday, September 8th at 6:30 p.m. against the Kansas City T-Bones at Silver Cross Field. Game two is on Thursday, September 9th in another 6:30 p.m. first pitch.
