BAKERSFIELD - The Bakersfield Jam's 6-game winning streak at home was snapped tonight as the Rio Grande Valley Vipers won by a score of 126-111. Bakersfield drops to a record of 24-15, while the Vipers improve to 28-12.

The Vipers jumped out to an early 29-22 lead to end the first period. Bakersfield closed the gap to begin the second quarter and came within a point on an Adam Koch slam dunk and one, but the Vipers responded and finished the first half on a 9-2 run to go into halftime with a 64-57 lead. The Jam came back to tie the game and take the lead a few times in the third quarter, but never led by more than three points. Rio Grande Valley outscored Bakersfield 32-23 in the final period and led by as many as 18 points in the game.

Trey Johnson led Bakersfield in scoring tonight with 26 points on 12-for-19 shooting. Derrick Byars contributed 17 points. Drew Naymick had a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds. Clippers assignee, Willie Warren, finished with a double-double of his own with 15 points and 10 assists off the bench and in his second game with the Jam, Tiny Gallon contributed 10 points and 7 rebounds.

Six out of eight Vipers who played tonight scored in double-digits, led by Jerel McNeal with a game-high 31 points. Mouhammad Faye and Terrel Harris tallied 20 points each. Richard Roby and Jon Scheyer had 17 points each. Connor Atchley added 11 points off the bench.

Up next, Bakersfield travels to Idaho to close out the season series against the Stampede in back-to-back games, beginning Friday, March 11th. The Jam lead the series 4-2.
