Bakersfield, Calif., July 19, 2006 - The Bakersfield Jam will open the 2006-07 NBA Development League season on Nov. 26 by playing host to the Los Angeles Lakers development league team at Rabobank Arena. The NBA Development League offices announced the 2006-07 regular season schedule today, highlighted by the first-ever D-League All-Star Game to be played Feb. 17 as part of NBA All-Star Weekend in Las Vegas.
The 2006-07 season marks the first time that the D-League will be split into separate Eastern and Western Divisions. The Eastern Division will consist of the Arkansas RimRockers, Austin Toros, Dakota Wizards, Fort Worth Flyers, Sioux Falls Skyforce and Tulsa 66ers. The Albuquerque Thunderbirds, Anaheim Arsenal, Bakersfield Jam, Colorado 14ers, Idaho Stampede and Los Angeles will make up the Western Division, playing 50 regular season games.
