Anaheim Arsenal Announces Inaugural Season Schedule

ANAHEIM, CA-The Anaheim Arsenal released their 2006-2007 NBA Development League regular season schedule, which includes a total of 50 games. The team's inaugural season opens on Friday, November 24 against the Los Angeles Lakers franchise in the Arena at the Anaheim Convention Center.

In addition to 24 home games and 24 away games, the Arsenal will also play in two contests during the league's third annual Martin Luther King Showcase in January.

After the November 24 home opener, the Arsenal travel to Albuquerque for its first away game the next evening. The schedule includes a five-game road trip from December 1-8 and a five-game home stand March 19-April 7.

Midway through the season, all-stars from the NBA Development League will be showcased during the NBA All-Star Weekend in Las Vegas on February 17-18. The Development League All-Star Game is scheduled for Saturday, February 17 at Jam Session Center Court immediately following practices for both NBA All-Star teams and will be televised by NBA TV. All-Star selections will be made by a vote that includes fans and Development League players and coaches.

About the NBA Development League

Twelve teams will comprise the 2006-07 NBA Development League season, which begins Thanksgiving weekend. The league is composed of the Albuquerque Thunderbirds (N.M.), Anaheim Arsenal (Calif.), Arkansas RimRockers (Little Rock), Austin Toros (Texas), Bakersfield Jam (Calif.), Colorado 14ers (Broomfield), Dakota Wizards (Bismarck, N.D.), Fort Worth Flyers (Texas), Idaho Stampede (Boise), Los Angeles, Sioux Falls Skyforce (S.D.) and Tulsa 66ers (Okla.).
